Dr Marjolein de Vries is a Dutch-trained General Practitioner with extensive experience in family medicine and general practice. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Maastricht University in 1998, where she also completed her specialist training in General Practice.
Following the completion of her PhD in Medicine at the Maastricht University early 2006, Dr de Vries moved to Australia. Her doctoral thesis, Asthma Control in General Practice: The Effect of Self-Management and Allergen Avoidance, focused on improving asthma management in primary care.
She obtained her fellowship with the Australian college of General Practitioners in 2008.
Dr de Vries worked in Morayfield, Queensland, for almost 10 years before joining Ningi Doctors, Queensland, in January 2016. She is both a practice owner and a supervisor for the RACGP GP training program, supporting the development of future General Practitioners.
She enjoys the diversity and continuity of care that general practice provides and has a special interest in women’s health procedures, including insertion and removal of Mirena, Kyleena, copper IUDs, and Implanon implants.
